HEIZOHACK WOODCHIPPERS

We have a background in special one off builds on various machines, and as such we are prepared to look at special cases utilizing Heizohack chippers with separate engine units and extended infeed systems. We are also working closely with one of our other German brand names Fortuna  to develop a high speed trailer to tow behind the Unimog. This ultimately then has the ability to sit the chipper into the drawbar and use this coupled with a rear mounted crane for a Unimog setup that makes the ideal unit.

Large capacity, high performance and a low power requirement coupled with exceptional value for money have got to interest any company looking for a larger diameter woodchipper ideally suited to major clearance and volume chipping. Heizohack woodchippers start with the HM300 series at 300mm (12”),  include the HM400 series at 400mm (16”) , and pinnacle with the range topping HM14-800 800mm (32”) capacity crane fed unit. Units are available for hand feeding or dedicated crane feed. They can be linkage mounted or trailed, high speed axles for behind fast tractors. Due to the unique design of the Heizohack chippers all the smaller hand fed machines that are  fitted with drawbar’s for pick-up hitch or higher rockinger (Unimog) are quickly detachable by pins, to leave the standard 3-point linkage mounting therefore giving you the user more adaptability to every situation.

The Heizohack is a drum chipper equipped with small staggered knives of 90mm width, these are fixed into a knife holder making a very quick turn around and this makes full blade replacement for NEW blades on say a HM6-400 machine of £39-00 !! By changing the small insert blades with new units blades can be changed in minutes!  Blades can of course be ground by up to 10mm from their original new state. The norm is to have at least 6 sets of new blades and once they have been run in the machine, grind the sets of blades to a uniform length. Once this has been done it will be necessary to set the knife holder to give correct position of the knife edge to the shear bar, as soon as this is set you can then simply replace blades quickly and effectively  saving time and money in the volume chipping market.

The Heizohack’s HE002 power control system, allows a large amount of flexibility offering a range of parameters that can be adjusted to give optimum chipping for different materials and auto reversing of the infeed when the power control senses the lower ( cut out feed ) speed. This allows the tractor to recover faster taking the uncut timber away from the cutting drum. 

Primarily designed as probably one of the best fuelwood chippers on today's market , further grading of chip sizes is done by passing chipped wood through a sieve, the size of the aperture can be varied to suit the woodchip boiler. The unique combination of the low power requirement chipping mechanism with the final sieve grading makes for very uniform chip consistency, this also allows rings of timber to be chipped and even logs fed in across the face of the drum.
